1. When accessing SharePoint using the Global Office system, please make sure to take the following steps:

  • Use Internet Explorer as 'IE Mode' of 'Open in Internet Explorer' wherever possible in order to get the best experience and be able to do multiple uploads. Both are in principle availabe when using the Microsoft Edge browser. IE Mode needs to be setup by your IT department.
     
  • During the logon process, make sure you select "Keep me signed in":
    Note: only do this if you are working on a corporate or private computer!
  •  

    Keep me signed in option 


  • Add the HMC SharePoint site ( hmc-heerema.com domain ) to the Trusted sites.
    Do this in Windows via Windows "Start", "Settings", search for "Internet Options" and then the "Security" tab
     
  • Add the hmc-heerema.com domain to the Compatibility view settings.
    Do this in Internet Explorer via the white cog wheel or via the Tools-menu, and then "Compatibility View settings"
     

2. Opening Office documents or Libraries in Windows Explorer

  • If you are prompted for a username and password, you will need to enter the "domain name" in front of the username followed by a forward slash ( \ ), ie. [domain name]\[username]
    Contact your point of contact and request the correct domain name.
